My Dad, My Inspiration

Since I was a child, my dad has been my role model for everything. He taught me many good things, from the simple one to the principal one.

My Dad is a discipline person. He always puts something in the right place. He always obeys the rules around us. He also a well organized person, and I think I truly inspired by him about this one. He arranged everything well , that's why, he doesn't like to wasting his time for waiting or doing something useless. He won't let us ( his daughters ) use inappropriate clothes or shoes to the public area, such as, using "sandal jepit" when we're going to the mall or the airport, even it was the expensive one. We never allowed to use a t-shirt when we're going to our campus, because he thought it wasn't appropriate. When we're in our dormitory (highschool), the school had prohibited us to bring any cellphones, but many of the students disobeyed the rules. In our last year at the school, almost every students had the cellphones at the dorm, except me and my sister because my dad won't let that happened. We also have some rules at the house, such as : at least we have to be at home at 18.00 everyday , if we're going to be home late, we should ask his permission first, even it's for the academic things. Some people maybe think that we're to much for this discipline thing, but alhamdulilah, I always think that this is for our own good. Thank you, Dad.

My Dad knows everything. He studied civil engineering at Gadjah Mada University for his bachelor, but for me, he knows more than the engineering thing. Since I was a child until now, I'd love to ask him about anything because he could answer every questions I'd asked him. He knows about politics, technology , foreign country things and the other. He loves to read, that's why he knows many things. For me, he always become my answer for anything.

My Dad can do many things. The most unforgettable memory is when he made us a barbie wooden house when we're still a children. He made it by himself. He also made some of our kitchen cabinet. His hobby is gardening and fishing. So we have a small garden in front of our house and a full-of-fish pool at the front of my house. He takes care of those garden and pool things by himself. Of course, he can do the electro things too. Sometimes, I asked myself, did every man do those things??

My Dad is an honest person. He works at the government where the corruption and the 'bad things' had become an usual thing. Alhamdulillah, my Dad is always on the right path. He always says NO to that bad things. He said, " if you want to live in peace, keep yourself on the right path". He also taught me that if you do something good to others, then Allah will give you a gift. When you give something, then you'll get something better. Ahamdulillah, even my Dad is only a government employyee, we have a good life because Allah always gives us a gift from many ways. The most important is not about how good your house is? Or how expensive your stuff is? Or how many eurotrips you have been? But it's about the peace of life and the happiness.

I can't explain other things about him in this post, but for sure, I adore him so much! He had become a really good father for me and my sister. I wish , I could be as lucky as my mother to have my Dad as her husband. Aamiin...
I love you so much, my lovely Dad, Djoko Murjatmodjo.
